As we leave Thanksgiving
and Black Friday behind us we welcome a fast approaching and newly monumental online
holiday: Cyber Monday. In just one day, hundreds of people will enter their
credit card numbers onto online shopping sites and purchase products ranging
from designer shoes to sewing machines at bargain deals they won’t see again
until Cyber Monday 2013. Cyber Monday has quickly became one of the biggest
shopping days of the year as many companies claim their sales dramatically
increase the Monday after Thanksgiving due to their online sales.
Just so no one is left
out on this holiday I have compiled a list of some of great deals that I have
come across and plan on taking advantage of myself this year!
Amazon: For the
past week, Amazon has been having “Deals of the Day.” For Cyber Monday
specifically they say that their deals are in limited supply and will go quick,
but they plan on adding new ones throughout the day and rest of the week in
case you miss out on the one you were hoping for! Some of
their Monday deals include: 50% off or more on iPad cases and 20% off or more on laptops,
tablets, desktops and monitors.
Old Navy: They are having an online
only sale Monday in which you can receive 30% off your purchase with code:
CYBER at checkout. The 30% discount
can be applied at their sister stores Gap and Banana Republic as well. At their
other sister stores, Piperlime and Athleta, you will receive a 20% discount off
your order with the same code.
Vera Bradley: This
store is offering free shipping on any orders over $75 and has a few specialty
products on sale specifically for Cyber Monday. These specials include their: Large Duffel bag for $49.99, Backpack for
$39.99 and Hipster bag for $29.99. There are also a variety of colors from past
season that are on sale this holiday season and are worth checking out!
JoAnn Fabrics: Web
Exclusive Sales for Cyber Monday include 30% off entire stock of yarn, 30% off

music/movie fix, this store is having an online special Monday in which when

to consider when shopping for family members or friends!

I myself was a victim of Cyber Monday for the first time ever! I am always a big Black Friday shopper but have always been somewhat of a skeptic of online shopping. I always get nervous about putting in my credit card number and going completely overboard, plus I like the whole actual shopping experience. Anyways, I got great deals today! I got several gifts for my family and my boyfriend. The best one I found was on JC Penney, which everything is always really inexpensive anyways! I got my boyfriend a fitted sweatshirt and sweats for just $30 and free shipping. To me, any outfit under $50 now a days is a steal!

I used to be hesitant to do any online shopping as well but I guess after you make that first purchase the rest just get easier, and most chain-store websites keep your information completely confidential! I've never personally had any problems with online shopping, but I know where you're coming from. And that's an awesome deal at JCPenney, so glad you found it!
DeleteI endured my first Black Friday this year working at Old Navy and I must say I will never take part in it again. That being said, I am ecstatic that this exists because you can get some or even better great deals without dealing with the crazies at the mall. I swear I have never seen so many people running around to shop at once! I'm glad you put up the Old Navy deals because I didn't know about it. WIth my employee discount I can get even more off the product by returning it and buying it again with my discount in the store. Which do you like better, Black Friday or Cyber Monday?
ReplyDeleteBlack Friday definitely gets crazy! It's too bad that you had to work, I could never imagine working in retail that day! With that being said, I love going out and checking out the sales on Black Friday but I personally do a lot more shopping on Cyber Monday because you don't have to wait in those crazy long lines or dig around in piles of clothes for your favorite color or anything! I find it's much more efficient to do shopping on Cyber Monday!!
DeleteI have never participated in either black Friday or cyber Monday. I could never imagine dealing with the mass amounts of frantic people in stores! Before reading this I never knew cyber Monday had that good of deals! I'll definitely have to keep this in mind for next years Christmas shopping. It will save me a trip to the mall and some money!

I always sign up for e-mails from my favorite stores through their websites a few weeks before Thanksgiving so that I don't miss any e-mails that have great online deals in them and then I cancel the accounts after Christmas because the volume of e-mails I have in my inbox becomes overwhelming. But definitely participate next year, even if it's just Cyber Monday! I promise you'll find great deals at your favorite stores!!
DeleteHonestly.....both Black Friday and Cyber Monday scare me! I think they are both crazy and people that go have a lot of power! First I couldn't even stay up that late, and two, I can't deal with that many people. I do understand the deal are awesome, but after what some people go through, is it worth it?

There are always those crazy stories of people getting trampled and breaking arms or something crazy when out shopping on Friday and personally I’ve never experienced anything as crazy as that but there are definitely some grouchy customers out there! I guess depending on how good the sales are and what you’re looking for I’d have to agree that it’s really not worth it sometimes.
